ASSIGNMENT 2: Get the Ball Rolling (Viewport Render)

In this looping animation assignment early on in the course, I animated a ball travelling through a Rube Goldberg machine. I applied the Squash and Stretch Deformer and worked with the F-Curve editor to adjust the timing of the ball’s movement. I then animated the secondary elements using Animation Tags and using the “Before” and “After” settings to create automatic oscillation in the animations.

This piece was shown during the weekly showcase of student work as an example of both successful animation and how a viewport render can be used to preview the timing of an animation.
